Salem Common
Washington Square
Green space in the middle of town—nine acres of it—and a common site for festivals and outdoor concerts.

Salem Willows
171-185 Fort Avenue
Salem's answer to Coney Island and the Boardwalk, it's distinguished by its scenic ocean walk shaded by statuesque willows planted in 1800 for patients convalescing from smallpox. The hospital is gone, but there are plenty of boardwalk eateries and an arcade in its stead.
